I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
